2024 Kia EV Day showcases EV3 and Concept EV4, PV5

KIA Asia Pacific shined the spotlight on three of its latest electric models during the 2024 Kia EV Day in Taiwan.
The highlight of the event took a closer look at the Kia EV3 which is primed for electric vehicle (EV) accessibility and the brand's transition into a sustainable mobility solution provider.
Housing technology found on the flagship EV9 sports utility vehicle (SUV), the entry level compact electric sports utility vehicle (e-SUV) is slated to go on sale in selected Asia Pacific countries come 2025.
It adopts the ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy with boxy rear fenders and a sloping roofline to define its modern sporty design.
It is built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform and features Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control (eDTVC) and includes a variety of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist 2, Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
Kia also showed off their Concept EV4 and the Concept PV5 - the latter for the first time in the region and is also Kia’s first dedicated Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV).

By prioritizing a customer-centric approach, we are not only meeting the demands of today's consumers but also setting the stage for a greener tomorrow. We are excited to have shared our vision and innovations with our valued partners and stakeholders across the APAC region,” Ki added.
In addition to unveiling new models, Kia emphasised their goal of introducing a full lineup of EVs at various price points. This includes plans to expand its range of Hybrid EVs and PBVs whilst balancing these offerings with a core of internal combustion engine vehicles for emerging markets.
Kia also intends to stabilize its EV production and battery supply system by operating 6 global EV production bases by 2025.
The Korean automaker aims to sell 1.6 million EVs annually by 2030 through these strategies aimed at accelerating the popularization of EVs.
