PROTON is determined to keep its X70 as competitively priced as possible since the model's initial launch in 2018.

Available in four variants, the 2025 X70 is priced from RM98,800 for the Standard option, RM110,800 for the Executive, the Premium for RM123,800 and the Premium X is going for RM126,800.

These figures mirror that of the X70's pre-2025 facelift prices in spite of the new improvements worth up to RM13,700 - which now includes Advance Driving Assist System Level 2 (ADAS 2) safety, the new 12.3-inch infortainment head unit, remote start engine, walk away auto lock, rhythmic multicolour ambient light, styling updates and six times of free labour.

Proton is also having an early bird package for the first 3,000 customers. This encompasses cash rebate up to RM7,000, trade-in overtrade support up to RM2,800 and an upgraded Proton insurance programme.

The latter includes key care cover up to RM2,000, flood relief insurance up to RM2,000, child seat coverage up to RM500, personal accident for passengers up to RM15,000 per person, and accident relief allowance RM200 per day up to three days.

Standard packages includes 5-year warranty unlimited mileage, 5-year data package of 1GB per-month, 6 times free labour service, financing interest rates from 2.4% PA and the Proton insurance programme.

For comparison the pre-facelift X70 is priced at RM98,800 (1.5 TGDI Standard 2WD), RM110,800 (Executive), RM116,800 (Executive AWD), RM123,800 (Premium), RM126,800 (Premium X), and RM128,800 (1.8 TGDI Premium).

As previously mentioned the ageing 1.8L TGDI engine and all-wheel drive (AWD) options have been dropped from the latest lineup.

For context this is the second facelift the X70 has undergone with the first in 2020. This time around the changes are slightly more substantial.

Most obvious is the new bolder, larger grille that sports Proton’s Infinite Weave design and songket diamond pins, and slimmer full-LED reflector headlights.

Its' restyled bumper and hood sets the model's updated silhouette design with a tone that's inches towards a more sportier and premium executive look.

The 2025 X70 will be available in four variants (as oppose to the current available six) with all of them housing a 1.5L TGDI engine that is paired to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission and a two-wheel drive (2WD) system.

The powertrain setup delivers a maximum power of 130kW (177PS) @ 5,500RPM with a max torque of 255Nm @ 4,000RPM to deliver a fuel consumption of 7.3L/100km which is said to be a 4% reduction from the 2022 X70.

The IHU’s hardware now comes with dual quad-core processors, 4GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The infotainment touchscreen is powered by the Atlas 2.0 operating system.

Big news for fans is the availability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The catch however is that the model doesn't have the features preloaded at launch and will be available for owners to download via over-the-air (OTA) update.

The 7.0-inch digital meter panel screen gains new redesigned graphics seen in Proton's newer models such of that of the X90 and S70.

Current known available colours for the model includes: Ruby Red, Snow White, Armour Silver, Jet Grey and the new Marine Blue.

According to Proton the 2025 X70, which comes with 360 new parts, took up to 290,000 man hours of research and development (R&D) and has been road tested for up to 4.2 million km.
