The flagship mid-sized 5-seater Volkswagen Touareg R-Line has launched in Malaysia, 3.0L V6 TSI engine, 8-speed automatic and 4Motion all-wheel-drive, priced at RM469,990 (OTR without insurance)

The Touareg is a mid-sized SUV, similar to the GLC and X3. Vehicle dimentions comparison shown underneath:

Underneath the bonet is a 3.0-liter V6 TSI engine, delivering 340 PS and a maximum torque of 450 Nm. This power is transmitted to all wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission and an intelligent 4MOTION system.

On the outside, the headlights are IQ LIGHT HD MATRIX headlights, grille, and front and rear parts have a fresh look. An LED lightbar is used as the taillight, and the Volkswagen logo lights up in red everywhere. The sporty R-Line version has fancy 20-inch wheels, extra chrome, and the special 'R' symbol on the doors and grille.

The Touareg comes with standard Air Suspension featuring Automatic Self-Leveling. The system adjusts the vehicle height based on terrain conditions and can lower by 40 mm for easier cargo loading or unloading. Also, it has a water wading level of 550mm.

Inside the car, it is featured with a set of 730W 14-speaker Dynaudio sound system, a 12.3-inchDigital Cockpit in front of the driver and the 15-inch touchscreen of the Discover Pro Max infotainment system. Of course, with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto conectivity.

Another headlight for the new Tuoareg, it is the first for Volkswagen to feature a night vision in a passenger car. This system enhances nighttime visibility by utilizing an infrared sensor in the camera. It can detect thermal signatures from humans or animals up to 130 meters ahead, helping the driver stay informed about potential collisions. 

The Touareg also comes with IQ.DRIVE, It includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, Park Assist, and more. This model was the first VW to have Front Cross Traffic Assist. 

5 colour choices are available, Lapiz Blue, Silicon Gray, Grenadilla Black, Oryx White and Dolomite Silver.
