After PHSAM ( PHS Automotive Malaysia) launched their EV SUV - the Q8 e-tron / Q8 e-tron Sportback last year, Audi introduced their high performance electric SUV - the SQ8 e-tron Sportback and SQ8 e-tron into Malaysia, prices start from RM519,990 for the SQ8 e-tron, RM 529,990 for the SQ8 e-tron Sportback.

The SQ8 e-tron is fully imported, available in two body style, a Squareback and the more sportier Sportback; single variant for each. 

The SQ8 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron Sportback are 3-electric motor monsters, with one for the front axle and two for the rear axle, mimicking Audi's famous Quattro AWD system. However, they are more advanced and even more precise than their mechanical counterparts. With all motors combined, they're able to produce 503 PS and 973 Nm of torque. With this insane amount of power output, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h can be done in just 4.5 seconds, despite their 2.7-ton weight, with a top speed of 210 km/h.

As for the battery, charging, and range, both the SQ8 e-tron Sportback and SQ8 e-tron are equipped with a 114 kWh battery pack. DC fast charging can accept up to 170 kW, charging from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. For regular AC charging, they accept up to 22 kW. The maximum EV range for the SQ8 e-tron is 458 km, for the SQ8 e-tron Sportback is 471 km according to WLTP's test.

Now let's dive into other car specifications and technologies. On the exterior, the overall look is similar to the normal Q8 e-tron, but Audi has still made some tweaks here and there to differentiate both models. Both SQ8 e-tron variants include exterior kits with Digital Matrix LED headlights, 22-inch 'Interferenz' alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension with controlled damping function, digital side mirrors, and Audi's 'S' body kit treatment.

The interior is as fancy as the exterior. Both SQ8 e-tron models are equipped with a combination of fine leather (Valcona leather), carbon and aluminum trim, ambient lights, 4-zone climate control, Audi Virtual Cockpit, HUD, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a 705W 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.

For those who want their SQ8 e-tron to look extraordinary, Audi is also offering 7 kinds of body color for the SQ8 e-tron, such as Magnet Gray, Ultra Blue, Chronos Gray, Mythos Black, Plasma Blue, Daytona Gray, and Glacier White.

As for the warranty package, both SQ8 e-tron variants can be purchased with the optional Audi Assurance Package (AAP), which extends the vehicle warranty period to 5 years, with free scheduled maintenance for the first 3 years and complimentary roadside assistance for the first 5 years. The battery system is covered by a separate warranty of 8 years/160,000 km.
