BERMAZ XPeng Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of the XPeng brand in Malaysia, has officially entered the electric multi-purpose vehicle (e-MPV) segment with their latest flagship.

Built on XPeng’s advanced SEPA 2.0 architecture, the X9 is an ultra smart, large seven-seater with a futuristic "starship" frame design.

Fully imported (CBU) from China, it is the world’s first battery electric vehicle (BEV) 7-seater MPV to feature a front and rear-integrated die-cast aluminum body structure for enhanced safety and durability.

The XPeng X9 also boasts a world-first active rear-wheel steering system paired with an intelligent dual-chamber air suspension to enable a tight 5.4m turning diameter. Additionally, its suspension system automatically adjusts spring stiffness based on road conditions.

It features an 800V high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) platform for ultra-fast DC charging - with its capacity going up to 317 kW to enable a 10-80% charge in just 20 minutes.

The Standard Range 2WD Pro variant comes with an 84.5 kWh LFP battery that delivers up to 500 km of range, 450 Nm of torque, and 315 hp. On the other hand the Long Range variants feature a larger 101.5 kWh NMC battery that extends the range to 590 km with the same power output.

Physically, the model's signature “Robot Face” front fascia is highlighted by a seamless horizontal daytime running light, and a crystal grille with a layered design that is paired with an Active Grille Shutter (AGS) system.

Its look is further emphasised by a sharply angled A-pillar, floating roof, expansive side windows, and a 23-degree coupé-style rear windshield.

The interior combines luxury and advanced technology that is enhanced by premium materials like wood veneer and aluminum air vents.

Feature highlights come in the form of a 21.4-inch entertainment screen, customizable ambient lighting, an advanced air purification system, and a 23-speaker X-Opera sound system.

The Standard Range 2WD Pro and Long Range 2WD Pro variants feature leatherette upholstery, while the Long Range 2WD Pro Plus has full-grain Nappa leather Zero Gravity seats.

The 7-seater can be configured into an ultra-spacious 4-seater SUV with a single click to electrically fold the third-row seats. This expands the boot volume from 755 litres to 2,554 litres.

Zero Gravity seats have a built-in massage function and there's a smart refrigerator accessible from the second row.

Standard safety includes six airbags and an electronic child lock, while advanced driver assistance utilizes high-definition radar, ultrasonic sensors, and a 360-degree HD camera powered by the Nvidia Orin-X chipset.

Under the XPilot 2.5 system the X9 comes equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go, Lane Centering Control (LCC), Adaptive Turning Cruise (ATC), Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (SAS), and Active Lane Change (ALC).

XPilot also integrates a comprehensive safety suite, including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind-Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).

For parking, the X9 offers Enhanced Auto Parking Assist (EAP 2.0), Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP), and Straight Summon, all accessible via the XPeng mobile app.

The XPeng X9 is available in Nebula White, Crescent Silver, or Dark Night Black colour.

The premium variant's interior comes with two colour options or Starry Night Black and Moon Shadow Brown.
