After BMW Malaysia teased the brand new BMW iX2 xDrive30 M Sport on their official website in early April, the actual car has now officially arrived in Malaysia. It's available for viewing at every authorized BMW showroom across the country.

The brand new iX2 xDrive30 M Sport is open for booking, price starts at RM282,800 (OTR, without insurance), Prices for the additional 5-year extended warranty and service package (RM 14,200) will be RM297,000.

The second generation BMW X2 has evolved into a more sport-oriented coupe SUV body style. For the first time ever, the X2 is available with an electric powertrain.

The new iX2 is based on BMW's "Sport Activity Coupe" design philosophy, offering a much sportier and sleeker feel compared to the iX1 SUV. This positions it directly in competition with the Volvo C40 in our local market.

On the exterior, like other BMW 'i' series EVs, it boasts a closed front grille adorned with BMW's iconic glowing kidney design. Paired with BMW LEDs and 20-inch M light alloy wheels, blue brake calipers, and touches of high-gloss black panels, the exterior of the iX2 exudes a youthful and bold vibe.

Inside the car, without a doubt, the design and layout of the new iX2 follows the BMW's latest design language. That incluceds the connecting curve screen on the dash (10.25-inch driver display & 10.7-inch centre infotainment display), operated by the latest iDrive9 OS.

Additionally, the upholstery is wrapped in 'Veganza' fine leather. Other features such as the Harman Kardon sound system, heads-up display, Active Guard Basis, Driving Assistant Plus, Parking Assistant Plus, and a wireless phone charging pad are also included.

Powering the iX2 is a 66.5kWh battery pack with a dual-electric motor AWD setup, producing 313hp/494Nm. 0 to 100km/h acceleration in just 5.6 seconds, with a capped top speed of 180km/h, Maximum EV range is up to 449km according to WLTP's standard.

In terms of charging, the iX2 accepts up to 130kW of DC fast charging and up to 11kW of AC charging. With DC fast charging, it takes only 29 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%. On the other hand, charging via 11kW AC will take 6 hours and 30 minutes to reach from 0% to 100%.
