BMW Malaysia expands the lineup of its locally assembled 5 Series models with a new variant.

Introduced back in May at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, the 520i M Sport runs on a four-cylinder B48 engine with a 48V mild hybrid system that delivers 208 hp and 330 Nm of torque. 

This allows it 0-100 km/h sprint in just 7.5 seconds with top speed capped at 230 km/h. 

Design-wise it comes with a M Sport package includes adaptive LED headlights and kidney grilles with BMW Iconic Glow, 19-inch M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 935 M Bicolour and M high gloss shadowline trim.

The cabin has been enhanced by M anthracite headliner, M accents in dark chrome as well as aluminium rhombicle trim, and M Sport design 3-spoke leather steering wheel. 

Cabin is further completed with the BMW Curved Display that comprises of a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display, BMW Interaction Bar, ambient lighting, and a Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker system.

Driving Assistant Plus, a Camera- and radar-based driver assistance system, includes the likes of: Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Lane Departure Warning with lane return, and Parking Assistant Plus.

Connectivity includes BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Connected Drive Services, Teleservices, Intelligent emergency call, Connected Package Professional, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible and a wireless charging tray.

Exterior colour comes in Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Oxide Grey Metallic and Cape York Green Metallic. Internal upholstery options on the other hand are Veganza Perforated and Quilted Black, as well as Veganza Perforated and Quilted Espresso Brown. 

The recommended retail pricing (on the road, without insurance) for the new BMW 520i M Sport is RM349,800 - with RM26,900 for Add-On for BMW Service & Repair Inclusive of the 5-Year Extended Warranty and Service Package.

The car can be owned with a monthly instalment plan starting from RM4,013 based on estimates of 80% loan amount on a 5-year tenure @ 20,000 km mileage per annum with BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia's Easy Drive Financing Plan.

Meanwhile, owners can own the 520i M Sport with monthly instalment plan starting from RM4,074 based on estimates of 80% loan amount on a 7-year tenure with BMW's Straight-Line Financing Plan.
