CHERY Malaysia has been appointed the official VIP vehicle partner of the upcoming Asia International Security Summit & Expo (AISSE) 2025.

The company will be supporting the event with a fleet of 60 sports utility vehicles (SUVs) - comprising of Chery’s Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro used to ferry distinguished guests and delegates from 15 countries to the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC).

With the theme ‘Asia United: Charting the Future of Global Peace and Security Through Law Enforcement Collaboration’, the three-day event from Jan 20 – 22 will bring together 200 security organisations and industry stakeholders from countries including Malaysia, Canada, Hong Kong, Latvia, Singapore, South Korea, United States, Taiwan, Turkey and others.

It is set to feature the ASEAN+ Security High Roundtable which is co-organised by ASEANAPOL to bring together home affairs ministers from participating countries and their respective police chiefs to discuss strategic and cross-border security issues.

Some 5,000 trade visitors are expected to attend the event with approximately 36 forums and conference sessions are scheduled to be held.

Malaysia prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to deliver the opening address at the event.

“It is such an honour to be providing our fleet of cars for the inaugural AISSE 2025 event. Our cars incorporate the latest Chery technologies from safety to comfort for both the passenger and driver, while ensuring affordability for consumers and minimizing environmental impact,” said Chery Malaysia vice president Michael Chew.

Chery Malaysia’s vice presidents, Michael Chew and Cheng Nam Weng officially handed over the vehicles to the event’s organiser Alpine Group Services' group managing director Anita Jacobson and business advisor Marina Yahya during a handover ceremony.

The event was witnessed by DCP Gilberd Philip Layang, Deputy Director of the Logistics and Technology Department, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and SAC Zakaria Ismail in Bangi, Selangor.
