CHERY Malaysia may be introducing a new powertrain option to the Tiggo sports utility vehicles (SUVs) line-up.
New models of the Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 might come available in a hybrid powertrain setup, particularly as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
The Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) system as it is called was recently launched at the Auto Shanghai 2025 in China.

Tiggo 7 CSH and Tiggo 8 CSH
Combustion Engine - 1.5L TGDi
Battery Capacity - 18.3kWh
Engine Max Power - 115kW
Engine Max Torque - 220Nm
Motor Max Power - 150kW
Motor Max Torque - 310Nm
Maximum EV Range - 95km
Combined Range - 1,200km

No further details have been revealed other than the potential entry of the models following the launch of the Tiggo 4 CSH. There has also been no mention if the existing sole internal combustion engines (ICE) would remain or be removed completely in favour of the CSH setup.
The addition of the Tiggo 4 CSH would also expand the Tiggo line-up to three models while the new powertrain update would mean all of Chery's Tiggo models are available as hybrids.
