The locally-assembled Chery OMODA E5 has officially launched in Malaysia, priced at RM146,800.

The Cherry Omoda E5 uses a single-electric motor FWD setup, able to produce 201hp and 340Nm. With a 61kWh high-capacity lithium iron phosphate blade battery, it is able to travel up to 430KM at WLTP's standard.

The OMODA E5 can accept up to 9.9kW AC and a maximum of 80kW DC charging. Charging via a DC fast charge from 30% to 80% takes just 28 minutes. Additionally, the OMODA E5 also comes with V2L (vehicle-to-load) functionality.

The Chery OMODA E5 comes with a veriaty of function and features for the passengers, with equipments like:

The OMODA E5 comes in 4 body colour options, that includes Aqua Green, Khaki White, Phantom Grey and Dark Black. 

As for warraty packages, Chery Malaysia offers an 7-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, 8-year or 160,000km battery warranty and an 8-year or 160,000km drive unit warranty which covers the Power Motor, Power motor control Unit, power battery management system and the vehicle’s control unit.

Additionally, the first 2,000 bookings will receive a complimentary wall box charger, a V2L plug charger and a charging credits worth RM1000 at EVC roaming partners.
