CHERY Malaysia is the first company in the country to have launched a modern hybrid model below RM100,000.

Featuring Chery’s advanced Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), the Tiggo Cross 1.5L Hybrid CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) variant is priced at RM99,800 which is just shy of RM200 from hitting the upper mark.

The variant combines a 96 PS petrol engine with 120 Nm of torque, supported by an electric motor delivering up to 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, with a fuel consumption of 5.4L per 100km.

According to Chery Malaysia this results in a potential 1,000km range on a single 51-litre fuel tank.

The Tiggo Cross petrol variant on the other hand is powered by a 1.5L Turbocharged engine paired with a 6-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) for a performance of 147 PS and 210 Nm. Its fuel efficiency consumption has been rated at 6.3L per 100km.

Absence of the CSH technology also puts the petrol variant at a lower price point of RM88,800.

This also makes it the most affordable Chery model in the market to date.

Inside the compact sports utility vehicle's (SUV) cabin is a 20.5 inch integrated touchscreen display infortainment system that is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto function. There's also ambient lighting, 6-way driver power seat. 6 speakers, voice assistant feature, wireless phone charger, three USB charging ports, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Dual-Zone Climate Control is accessible through the Climate Control touchscreen panel that sits just below the infortainment hub.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) is a huge part of the Tiggo Cross with up to 16 functions altogether - you will however only get the full range with the Hybrid CSH variant.

The 16 ADAS functions featured in the Tiggo Cross includes: Front Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Multi Collision Brake (MCB), Traffic Jam Assistant (TJA), Door Open Warning (DOW), Rear Cross Traffic Braking (RCTB), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC), Blind-spot Detection (BSD), and Emergency Lane Keeping Assist (ELKA).

Sporting functional roof rails on the exterior, both variants come in Carbon Black, Phantom Grey and Khaki White colours while Blood Stone Red and Moonlight Silver are exclusive to the petrol and hybrid variant, respectively.

Pricing for the two includes 7-years of warranty coverage or up to 150,000KM and 7-years roadside assistance of free towing service. The Hybrid CSH also gets 8-years warranty or up to 160,0000KM on battery power pack, power motor and hybrid control unit.

As part of the early bird package the first 2000 customers (until Sept 30, 2025) gets an extra 2-years all-inclusive free service.
