Chery to possibly introduce more entry level cars in the future
Chery
CHERY could be introducing more compact car models in the coming times.
The Chinese automaker recently addressed its inherent lack of entry level cars in its present line-up despite a massive global demand for them.
Chery, at the 2025 International Business Summit in Wuhu, China, unveiled that small cars account for at least 40% of global sales (figure excluding China, North America and Korea) which comes to about 17.06 million units.

Chery International president Zhang Guibing added that only 10% of the company's active line-up caters to said market.
Though not new to Chery, many of the company's A0-segment cars have since been discontinued in the past decade with a number of them last appearing a few years back.
The renewed interest for the segment fits into the company's expansion plans as part of "Navigating the Future” initiative - which is accompanied by the brand's expanded roadmap for the years ahead, the announcement of new brands, its latest products, and strategic initiatives.

The move extends to Malaysia possibly seeing more entry level cars from Chery as well, as the country has been marked for massive growth potential by the Chinese automaker.
No other detail was made available though we can expect anywhere from 2026-2027 as the soonest for them to realise this.
