DOLPHIN IN PATROL! New EV police patrol car spotted.
BYD
Who says only foreign countries have cool police cars? Well guess what? We encountered a BYD Dolphin auxiliary police car at Desa Parkcity recently!

What is a “Auxiliary police”, their duty is basically assisting regular police officers to keep order in designated areas (Desa Parkcity for example). Like regular policemen, they also help patrol, issue summons or even arrest suspects in their area of jurisdiction.
They also permitted to carry firearms and handcuffs, but only use it when they’re on duty in their area of jurisdiction. To note that, auxiliary police have no power when they’re outside of their duty areas.

The BYD Dolphin is one of the most affordable EV in Malaysia, with two variants available in the market; Dynamic Standard Range and Premium Extended Range. Priced RM 99,900 and RM 124,900 respectively (on the road without insurance).
