WTCA has launched the GAC Aion Y Plus EV in the recent Malaysia Autoshow, with 2 variants available: Elite and Premium, priced at RM119,800 and RM135,800 respectively, fully imported.

Although GAC calls the Aion Y Plus a crossover SUV, to many, it looks more like an MPV, depending on your perspective. Nevertheless, it has a distinctly unique appearance overall.

The GAC AION Y Plus provides a spacious and luxurious cabin with features designed for urban lifestyles, including a six-way power-adjustable driver seat, 10.25-inch digital instrument display, keyless entry, automatic climate control with rear vents and a PM2.5 air filter, and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.

Other comfort and convenient features such as includes ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, 32-color ambient lighting suite with music mode, hands-free powered tailgate, panoramic sunroof, and lastly, a 6-speaker Bongiovi hi-fi audio system. 

The GAC AION Y Plus is powered by a 63.2kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate Magazine Battery 2.0, driving the front wheels with an electric motor producing 204 PS and 225 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and has a maximum range of 490 km on NEDC standards. In terms of charging, it supports 6.6kW of AC, and up to 80kW of DC fast charging.

The Aion Y Plus is packed with series of ADAS, that includes adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go, intelligent cruise assist, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and traffic jam assist.

Lastly, WTCA offers a 8 Years/160,000 KM base vehicle warranty and a
8 Years/200,000 KM EV battery, Drive Motor and Electric Control warranty. The first 200 bookings will get a complementary 7kW Home Wallbox Charger (worth RM3,500) and a RM1,000 JomCharge Charging Credits.
