Mercedes-Benz Malaysia launched the updated entry-level premium cross-over - the GLA200 not long ago.

Price start at RM258,888, with only some very minor exterior, interior and equipment update.

The GLA 200's updated exterior features a new radiator grille, redesigned front bumper, hood with a power dome, rear bumper diffuser, and a silver underguard at the front apron, and a set of new designed 18-inch alloy wheels, enhancing its powerful and modern character.

The car's interior showcases a prominent 10.25-inch display at the center of the dashboard, equipped with the latest MBUX system. The steering wheel boasts a new design with touch-control panels and is covered in leather. The comfort seats maintain their upholstery in black ARTICO man-made leather, and the Star Pattern trim on the dashboard adds to the interior's contrasting aesthetics.

The latest MBUX also features Navigation, Assistance, and Services modes, along with 64-color Ambient Lighting. The system now includes wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay for connectivity and five USB-C ports to keep everyone in the vehicle charged up.

In terms of safety, the GLA 200 comes standard with Blind Spot Assist, Exit Warning Assist, and Active Brake Assist. The GLA is equipped with the Parking Package with a reverse camera, Mirror Package, DYNAMIC SELECT, KEYLESS-GO Comfort Package, and HANDS-FREE ACCESS.

The new GLA continues to be powered by the 1.3-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine combined with the 7G-DCT automatic transmission. It can achieve 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.9 seconds, thanks to 163 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm.

But honestly, the updated GLA200 seems got some new things going on, but it is still too basic for the price tag, what do you think?
