GREAT Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia officially rolls out the 1,000th local production (CKD) unit of the Haval H6 HEV at the EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) facility in Melaka. 

The company says the milestone reflects the rapid shift towards hybrid vehicles driven by consumers seeking cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives, with the C-segment hybrid sports utility vehicle (SUV) being a popular choice for eco-conscious drivers in Malaysia.

Going at a recommended retail price (RRP) from RM139,800, the Haval H6 HEV's exterior is defined by its digital 'Star Matrix' grille, Matrix LED headlights, taillight lightbar, and 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels.

It has a 2,738mm wheelbase, is 4,653mm in length, has a width of 1,886mm and is 1,730mm tall. Boot space is accessible through a powered tailgate to 600L in space and 1,485L with the seats folded down.

Cabin has premium dual-tone finishing, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual-zone climate control air conditioning, rear air-con vents, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a Qi wireless charger, an eight-speaker Harman Infinity premium audio system, panoramic glass sunroof, head-up display, and a shoulder switch on the front passenger seat.

Voice command is only available when connected to Android Auto or Apple Carplay.

Comfort and safety is further supported by L2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and safety is paired with six airbags, a 360-degree camera, a parking assist system, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), full-speed adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, rear cross traffic alert and lane change assist.

At the heart of the model is a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is paired to a DHT hybrid system that delivers a combined power output of 243PS/530Nm - based on 150PS/230Nm and 177PS/300Nm respectively. 

It has a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 8.5 seconds with CO2 emissions rated at 121g/km.

Five colour options of the Haval H6 HEV includes Energy Green, Ayers Silver, Crayon Grey, Hamilton White, and Sun Black.
