Honda Civic RS Prototype debut, this ain't the RS you know!
Honda
Japanese automakers always seem to keep all the nice things to themselves, but isn't that what defines the JDM scene, right?

Honda Japan debuted the latest Civic RS Prototype at the Tokyo Auto Salon. This Civic 'RS' is different from the 'RS' you see in our homeland; it's more like a Civic Type-R alternative, and yes, it comes with a manual transmission.

This Civic RS Prototype is based on the hatchback Civic FL, featuring a slightly aggressive RS body kit and a set of matte black 18-inch sport rims similar to those found on our local market Civic RS.
This Honda Civic RS Prototype is still in progress towards production, and engine specs, along with other details, have not been released by Honda Japan. However, they did mention that this car will make its official debut in this year's fall.
