Honda Malaysia: Narushi Yazaki takes over duty as new CEO, MD

NARUSHI Yazaki has been appointed as Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.'s (Honda) new managing director and chief executive officer.

Effective 1 April 2025, Yazaki succeeds Hironobu Yoshimura who has led the company over the past three years.

Yazaki has over 25 years of experience with Honda, having held key leadership roles across multiple countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States. 

He was attached to Corporate Administration Operations at Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan before assuming his current position in Honda Malaysia.

“I am honored to take on this responsibility at Honda Malaysia, a market known for its dynamic growth and significant contributions to the Honda brand in the Asia and Oceania region. I aim to build on the strong foundation laid by my predecessors and continue driving Honda Malaysia's growth and success in this thriving market,” said Yazaki of his new role.

Former CEO and MD Yoshimura has undertaken a new role in Honda’s head office, Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Tokyo, effective 1st April 2025. 

Yoshimura played a key role in maintaining Honda Malaysia's leading position in the Non-National Passenger Vehicle segment for 11 consecutive years and successfully navigated the company through a challenging post-pandemic environment. Honda Malaysia extends its gratitude to Yoshimura for his dedication and leadership, which have been instrumental in the company’s continued success.
