PUT iCaur Malaysia's first model to the ultimate test in the brand's first off-road experience event.

Through the brand's iExperience Off-Road Test Drive at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, the iCaur 03's off-road capabilities are put through its paces on specially designed off-road course.

“The wait is over. We're thrilled to bring Malaysians our first model - the iCaur 03. This marks the beginning of our journey to deliver cutting-edge electric off-road sports utility vehicles (e-SUVs) backed by an exclusive ownership experience," said Caur Malaysia vice president Emily Lek.

The off-road experience is held in conjunction with the iCaur Public Roadshow that is happening from June 20 to 22, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, at the Ground Floor Carpark (Old Wing) of 1 Utama Shopping Centre. 

Visitors will have the opportunity to experience an interactive showcase and check out the iCaur range as well as get acquianted with the brand and its model.

The closed course consists of four unique challenges:

i) iSee-Saw - A sharply contoured ramp that lifts the vehicle on its two wheels, testing frame rigidity and axle articulation.

ii) iSlide - Engineered for real off-road performance, the challenge puts on display the iCaur 03's 28° approach and 32° departure angles through a steep climb showcasing the model's impressive 55% gradeability rating followed by a controlled descent highlights its precise torque delivery, and intelligent braking control.

iii) iSplash - A 400mm-deep water course.

iv) iBreaker - With three wheels placed on rollers and one on the ground, this challenge showcases the iWD system’s ability to direct torque to a single wheel with traction, powering the vehicle smoothly over the obstacle.

iCaur 03

Available in two powertrain configurations the iCaur 03 two-wheel drive (2WD) variant features a 135kW (184PS) electric motor that delivers 220Nm of torque, combined with a 65.7kWh LFP battery for an NEDC-rated 426km range. 

The performance-driven iCaur 03 Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) system houses dual motors that produce 205kW (279PS) and 385Nm and is paired with a 69.8kWh battery offering 418km range (NEDC).

Sporting the i-Box design language, at the core of the 03 lies the iRoad system that offers up to 12 selectable all-terrain drive modes paired with a H-arm multilink rear suspension for enhanced rugged durability and axle articulation. 

Its compact-yet-powerful 6-in-1 electric drive module integrates the Motor Control Unit, Onboard Charger, and Converter to deliver a smooth, responsive power and control regardless if one was navigating city streets or tackling muddy trails.

The model features Malaysia's first all-aluminum monocoque chassis and body as part of its iCare safety system. It has a 31,812 Nm/deg of torsional rigidity that is said to surpass many modern sports cars, exceptional crash protection, and a weight reduction of 30% all the whilst maintaining rugged durability.

Beyond the robust chassis is an innovative 4-layer IPX8 battery armour system. This multi-tiered protection combines a 10mm hardened aluminium impact shield with a Mica ceramic thermal barrier capable of withstanding extreme temperatures exceeding 1000°C in addition to dual additional protective layers.

Safety is further bolstered with a Level 2.5 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) that offers Emergency Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Jam Assist for enhanced peace of mind.

Inside the 03 is the iBrand cockpit that features a 15.6-inch central display and 9.2-inch instrument cluster powered by the an i-VA interface, complemented by a 12-speaker INFINITY audio system and 540-degree transparent chassis camera.

Slated to be launched in Q3 2025, the iCaur 03 is estimated to be priced between RM145,000 and RM155,000.
