
Jaecoo J7 will be debut in July 19th, priced under RM160,000?

Following the grand launch of Chery's CKD factory in Shah Alam, Chery Malaysia officially teased that the Jaecoo J7 will debut on July 19th.

For your information, Jaecoo is a sub-brand of Chery, as is another upcoming brand, Jaetour. Jaecoo is marketed as a "Premium Off-roader," focusing mainly on premium-built SUVs with real off-road capabilities.



The Jaecoo J7 measures 4,500mm x 1,865mm x 1,680mm (L x W x H), with a wheelbase of 2,672mm, making it a standard C-segment SUV compared to its potential competitors such as the Mazda CX-5 (2,700mm) and Honda CR-V (2,701mm).
As an "Off-Roader," the J7's ground clearance is rated at 200mm, with a wading depth of up to 600mm, a 21º approach angle, and a 29º departure angle, making it ideal for occasional off-roading.



Inside, it features a massive 14.8-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch driver's display, a head-up display.



There's more, heated and ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a 50W wireless phone charging pad, Sony audio system, and a panoramic sunroof.



The Jaecoo J7 is equipped with a 1.6L TGDi engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering 197ps/290Nm, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 8 seconds. In terms of drivetrain, Jaecoo offers both 2WD and AWD formats. Additionally, the J7 has up to seven drive modes, including Normal, ECO, Sport, Sand, Mud, Snow, and Off-Road.



The J7 will be available in four colors: Moonlight Silver, Carbon Crystal Black, Khaki White, and Model Green.
