JAECOO'S J7 sports utility vehicle (SUV) has been a hit with Malaysians.

The brand has successfully sold 7,041 of its first sports utility vehicle (SUV) model within five months of its launch.

Jaecoo Malaysia vice president Emily Lek thanked customers for their faith in the brand and have recognised 12 top performing dealerships as an appreciation in the network’s accomplishment.

"The awards recognise our dealer network which plays a vital role in the brand’s overall achievement. We will continue to expand our dealer network, in line with our ambition to provide the absolute best customer experience,” she added.

The awardees recognised comprised of dealerships from the Klang Valley, northern and southern region, with the latter topping the table with the best sales in the country.

Identifying opportunities for growth, Jaecoo will be expanding its evaluation to include Best Customer Service Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) scores among others in the coming year.

Johor-based Jaecoo dealership, Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd, took home the trophy for contributing the highest sales in the network.

"We are deeply honoured to be the inaugural recipient of Jaecoo’s ‘Dealer of the Year’ award. This achievement reflects the unwavering trust and support of our valued customers and business partners," said Auto Galaksi Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Desmond Tien.

"We are grateful to the Jaecoo management for their exceptional leadership and vision, which have been instrumental in paving the way for success. Every member of the Auto Galaksi family played a vital role in this accomplishment, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to setting new benchmarks in customer service excellence," he added.

Also recognised at the inaugural dealership awards were Gagner Auto Sdn Bhd, ES Premium Holdings Sdn Bhd, Luxury Legend Sdn Bhd, Siang Hin (K.L) Sdn Bhd, Apple Autotech Sdn Bhd, Kluster Automobile Sdn Bhd, Carshen Sdn Bhd, AAW Nexus Sdn Bhd, BH Premium Auto (M) Sdn Bhd, Indah Utara Enterprise Sdn Bhd and Tropical Impact Auto Sdn Bhd.

Jaecoo Malaysia is looking to raise the bar in 2025 with plans to introduce more models in line with its mission to provide attainable luxury options in the automotive market following the success of the J7 and C9 in 2024.

The first of which will be the J7 PHEV in February this year with the company priming for its eventual launch with a long-range drive this month to showcase the model journeying across three nations (Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand) on a single tank and charge.
