JETOUR Auto Malaysia has officially commenced local assembly operations for its sports utility vehicles (SUVs).
Operation takes place at the existing 640,000 sq. ft. Berjaya Assembly Sdn. Bhd. (B-Assembly) facility in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.
Jetour International vice president Wen Qiangkang commented this is an important milestone for Jetour as it reflects the company's strong confidence in Malaysia as a strategic automotive market.

Wen added that this local assembly initiative aligns with Malaysia’s automotive ambitions by increasing localisation, creating skilled employment opportunities, and fostering deeper integration within the local supply chain.
“The local assembly of the Dashing and VT9 is not only a production advancement, but also a significant investment in talent, innovation, and the future potential of mobility in the region,” said Wen.
Expanding on the collaboration, Jetour Malaysia chief executive officer Fu Yong comments that the assembly also lays a solid foundation for our broader expansion across the ASEAN region.

"Jetour has expanded its presence with more than 20 outlets nationwide since the official launch of the first product line in Malaysia this year. The local assembly represents a pivotal moment as the brand accelerates localisation efforts to meet rising demand, improving the delivery timelines, and offering enhanced value to Malaysian customers, said Fu Yong.
Jetour’s local production partner B-Assembly, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Assets Berhad, is an established facility that is equipped with Industry 4.0-ready systems.
B-Assembly advisor Dato’ Tony Khor said they are proud to be the local assembly partner for Jetour in Malaysia.
"This collaboration reflects our shared belief in the future of Malaysia’s automotive sector and our commitment to contributing to the nation’s industrial development,” said Khor.

The facility currently focuses on the assembly of the Jetour Dashing and VT9 and has produced over 1,000 units, with deliveries of the locally assembled Jetour Dashing beginning in June 2025, followed by the VT9 shortly thereafter.
Jetour plans to invest approximately RM1.4 billion in Malaysia to support the introduction of more local assembly models, with plans to expand exports to neighbouring ASEAN countries. The company aims to continue to enrich its lineup of localised models and accelerate its efforts to penetrate the ASEAN market.
