MALAYSIA'S Road Transport Department (RTD, JPJ) has opened an special electric vehicle or 'EV' number registration in support of the new JPJePlate implementation.
Bidding and registration begins today on the JPJeBid system and ends on September 13, 2024 at 10.00pm.

Results will be announced within 24 hours after the bidding process comes to a close.
The special EV number plate is exclusive to ZEVs only and cannot be registered on non-ZEVs.

Unintrested ZEV owners can still opt to use whichever state assigned number series for registration of their individual vehicles.
A percentage of the earnings from the bidding will be channeled to public initiatives such as the free helmet exchange programme and the B2 license training for B40s.
