The latest generation AMG C43 has made a surprising debut in Malaysia! While it has yet to be officially launched, rumors suggest that it will be locally assembled, making it the first "1-man-1-engine" AMG car to be CKD in our country, with a estimated price of RM450,000!

The W206 generation C43 has abandoned the six-cylinder engine in favor of the extremely versatile M139L 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is longitudinally mounted. This engine incorporates Mercedes F1's high-tech turbocharger and is paired with a 48V MHEV system, resulting in a total output of 408PS/500Nm.

Sending all those beef horses to all four wheels via an nine-speed AMG Speedshift MCT 9G gearbox and 4Matic all-wheel drive system. Well that being said, it is still a rear bias drivetrain (F-31%, R-69%). Accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

On the exterior, other than the AMG C43 exclusive bodykit, a two side dual-exhaust tips, bigger brakes and AMG sport rims, the C43 looked just like a regular C-class.

While the interior may not be exceptional and resembles that of other Mercedes-Benz models, it still incorporates some sporty elements. These include red seat belts, Alcantara-wrapped upholstery, an AMG steering wheel, and carbon-fiber panels.

The AMG C43 is no doubt, a Mercedes afterall, it still consist a series of comfort and convenient features like Burmerster audio system, a head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof.
