Mercedes-AMG E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ debut, 6 cylinder + e-Motor = 585HP!
Mercedes-Benz
The Mercedes-AMG E53 and E53 estate just debuted, six-cylinder engine paring with an electric motor, the new E53 Hybrid 4Matic+ might be the last "large" displacement new E class money can get.

first and foremost, the powertrain, the E53 and E53 estate is powered by a 3.0L in-line six-cylinder pairing to a hybrid system. The engine itself can produce 449HP/560Nm, sending all the power to all four wheels via an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G gearbox. On the other hand, the hybrid electric motor can produce 161HP/480Nm.

With both systems combined, the total power output is a whooping 585HP/750Nm. With Race Start mode, the power boost up to 612HP! 0 to 100KM/h is just 3.8s, with a top speed of 280KM/h.

Both sedan and estate E53 are fitted with a 28.6 kWh battery pack, supports both DC (60kW) and AC (11kW) charging. When the car is in pure electric mode, the maximum range is able to travel up to 101KM (WLTP), top speed is caped at 140KM/h.

Being an AMG model, the body structure of the E53 has been reinforced. A front strut brace and additional struts under the engine improve steering precision, while extra rear struts boost stability and driving control.

To enhance the vehicle driving dynamics, AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension is equiped, with a wider front track and stiffer rear elastokinematics, it ensures stability and precise handling.

The steel suspension in the E 53 HYBRID 4MATIC+ offers a sporty yet comfortable ride. It adjusts damping at each wheel quickly and precisely based on driving conditions. Drivers can select from three modes - "Comfort", "Sport", and "Sport+" - for different levels of comfort and sportiness.
