BOOKING for SAIC Motor Malaysia's first iconic all-electric two-seat roadster is now open to the public.

The MG Cyberster is only available in one variant with distinct electric frameless scissor door and a broad, low-profile silhouette with a retractable soft top.

Other external features includes 20-inch Jetstream alloy wheels, striking red calipers, and automatic LED headlamps with daytime running lights (DRL).

Cabin comes with a sports interior package that encompasses Leather Sports Seats featuring Alcantara inserts and a Nappa Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel. 

The infotainment system combines a 7-inch central touch screen display, a 10.25-inch driver display, and two 7-inch auxiliary screens on either side - paired to an 8-speaker Bose audio system.

Running on a dual motor all-wheel drive (4WD) system setup the Cyberster has a performance of 503 PS (375 kW) and a maximum torque of 725 Nm which translates to a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.2 seconds.

Its 77 kWh battery delivers a WLTP driving range of 446 km while supporting 7 kW AC charging (from 10-100% in approximately 10.5 hours) and rapid 150 kW DC charging (10-80% charge in 38 minutes).

Safety is with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) under the name MG Pilot to include features such as: Front Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) (with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assistance (TJA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Intelligent High Beam Assist.

Price of the Cyberster is estimated to be below RM350,000 and will be available in four colors: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White. 

The Dynamic Red and Camden Grey options feature black and red interiors, while Inca Yellow and English White come with grey interiors. All models are enhanced by a sleek black hood. 

The MG Cyberster will be making its first public display at this weekend's Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024 at Setia City Convention Centre.
