MG Motor Malaysia has revealed that its MGS5 EV (electric vehicle) is estimated to come with a very competitive price for the segment it is in.

The MSRP estimated starting price (before registration fees, without insurance) for the all-new MGS5 EV is from RM115,000.

The B-segment electric sports utility vehicle (e-SUV) comes with two battery options — a 49kWh unit paired with a 125kW motor delivering 170PS, 250Nm, and up to 340km (WLTP) range, or a 62.2kWh pack offering up to 430km range and 150kW DC fast charging.

Both variants are rear-wheel drive (RWD) and come equipped with 6.6kW AC charging, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.8-inch Central Control Screen with Voice Control, a 10.25-inch Instrument Cluster, and a comprehensive safety suite including 7 airbags and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The more premium 62kWh battery variant is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate, leather and fabric combination seats with MG perforated pattern, a heated leather steering wheel, power-adjustable driver’s seat, 6 premium audio speakers, rear reading lamps, rain-sensing wipers and a 360-degree surround view camera.

Colour options include Arctic White, Monument Silver, Camden Grey, Dynamic Red, and Elegant Latte. Interior is dark leather paired with fabric combination seats.
