AUTOMOTIVE lubricants brand Motul has been certified by SIRIM QAS International, Malaysia’s leading testing, inspection, and certification body. 

The certification was awarded on 10 March 2025 to Specialty Lubricants Trading (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary and authorised distributor of Motul Asia Pacific. 

According to Motul, this certification reinforces the brand’s long-standing commitment to providing high-performance products for Malaysian customers.

With the SIRIM conformity label applied to Motul products distributed through authorised channels, Motul further explains that the certification is part of the their effort to protect customers from counterfeit products.

Motul added that the achievement also underscores its continued growth and development in Asia Pacific while reinforcing their dedication to enhancing mobility and driving performance across the region.

“This recognition is not just a feather in our cap – it is a testament to our dedication to Malaysia’s vibrant automotive community and our customers’ trust in our product,” said Motul country manager Ravi Shankar.

To add to its importance, SIRIM QAS International chief executive officer Ts. Md Adha Rahmat said that the initiative sets a new benchmark for authenticity and safety.

Certified products will carry the official SIRIM certification mark, providing consumers and businesses with assurance of authenticity and reliability.” 

“By promoting the use of genuine, high-performance lubricants, the certification scheme supports Malaysia’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) efforts in reducing vehicle emissions and fostering sustainable industry practices,” added Ts. Md Adha Rahmat.
