Perodua becomes No.2 in ASEAN region
Perodua
LAST year was a record breaking year for Perodua.
The national automaker saw new heights in their 2024 scorecard with an increase in performance in all areas over 2023.
Areas covered includes number of registration (+8.4%, 358.1k units), production volume (+7.2%, 368.1k units), market share (+2.5%, up to 43.8% share), service intake (+10.6%, 3,438k units), distribution (+8.4%, 359.4k units) and after sales growth (+9.4%).
The number of registered units the company achieved also puts them in second place standing of the automotive brand ranking (number of registration) in the ASEAN region.

This is a rank up from 2023 when they were in third place. Last year saw them only losing out to Toyota who had almost doubled the national automaker's registered volume in the region.
Perodua also came out on top as Southeast Asia’s top brand for 2024 with an overall score of 58.3 according to Milieu Insight.
Their record breaking achievement were attributed to them successfully minimising downtime, conducted dynamic planning and coordination, their agility in overcoming challenges, and dedicated staff members.
It is reported that there are a total of 5.1 million Perodua cars, both old and new, on road as of Dec 31, 2024.
