PROTON is offering up massive rebates as part of its 2025 Ramadan month promotion.

Applicable to all Proton models, the 'Buka Lembaran Baharu' promotion rewards new car buyers with “Duit Raya” cash rebates worth up to RM10,000.

This is in addition to supplementing overtrade support packages from Proton's used car division at participating outlets.  

Buyers of the popular Proton X50 will receive a rebate of up to RM9,000, and trade-in support of up to RM2,000 in overtrade from participating outlets for a potential total package value of up to RM11,000.  

The model was updated in June last year and continues to lead sales over all competitors in its segment. The introduction of the Proton X50 SE has received an overwhelming response with 531 units registered since its launch in the middle of January.

Customers of the 2025 Proton X70 gains up to RM9,000 of rebates while the overtrade support available is worth an additional RM2,000.  

The D-segment sports utility vehicle (SUV) Proton X90 gets a rebate of up to RM10,000 and with overtrade support of RM5,000 , bringing the potential total value of the package up to RM15,000.  

Proton's Saga, Iriz and Persona will receive cash rebates of up to RM1,000 and trade in support between RM800 to RM1,000 for selected variants. Buyers can therefore enjoy a total savings of up to RM2,000 for their new purchase. 

New segment leader S70 will receive a cash rebate of up to RM8,000. Flagship X customers also receive a free Aerokit worth RM3,130 and there is also overtrade support worth RM2,000 for a potential total package value of up to RM13,000.  

Proton Edar chief executive officer Roslan Abdullah said the promotion is the company’s effort to improve the brand experience for customers by making it easier to own a new Proton vehicle. 

"It also gives them a chance to drive a new Proton when they balik kampung to visit friends and family during the festive holidays, delivering an impression that is only possibly by driving a brand new car,” said Roslan.
