TOYOTA'S Hilux, Fortuner and GR86 have received 2024 updates and are now available for booking.

The Hilux's enhancements include Vehicle Stability Control in the Hilux 2.4 Single Cab, while wireless charger comes as a standard for Hilux 2.8 GR Sport and Hilux 2.8 Rogue - optional for the rest of the models, except Hilux 2.4 Single Cab.

Advanced accessories such as the remote engine start feature will be available on selected Hilux variants. The feature allows users to start or stop the engine, preheat or cool the cabin, and even schedule engine operation via the Toyota My app.

Panoramic View Monitor will be available as a standard for Hilux 2.8 GR Sport, Hilux 2.8 Rogue, and Hilux 2.4V.

Euro 4 Emission is standard to the Hilux. The 2.8 GR Sport and the 2.8 Rogue are powered by a 2,755 cc engine delivering 224 PS and 550 Nm, and 204 PS with 500 Nm of torque, respectively.

The 2.4V variant features a 2,393 cc engine with 150 PS and 400 Nm of torque. The 2024 Hilux's price starts at RM104,880 without insurance.

The Fortuner will now offer the all-new GR Bodykit as an optional accessory for the Fortuner 2.7 SRZ and Fortuner 2.4. This includes a GR Body Kit Package that consists of front bumper skirt, front fog lamp garnish, and rear bumper skirt.

Remote Engine Start feature will now be available on the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and Fortuner 2.7 SRZ.

Available in either petrol and diesel engines, the Fortuner 2.7 SRZ is powered by a 2,694 cc petrol engine delivering 166 PS and 245 Nm of torque, while the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ features a 2,755 cc diesel engine with 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque.

The Fortuner 2.4 variant includes a 2,393 cc diesel engine producing 150 PS and 400 Nm of torque.

The starting price for the 2024 Fortuner is RM195,880 without insurance.

With greater emphasis on performance, the GR86's handling and responsiveness was the focus of the model's 2024 update.

Throttle response has been retuned, the suspension system refined, and the electric power steering system has also been recalibrated for both 2.4 A/T and 2.4 M/T variants.

The GR86 2.4 A/T now features enhanced transmission tuning that allows for higher engine RPM after downshifts.

Front and rear Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is now also standard to the GR86. This advanced feature automatically activates and starts recording upon engine ignition, capturing wide-angle footage in full HD.

The GR86 2.4 A/T and GR86 2.4 M/T are priced competitively, starting from RM295,000 without insurance.

“We are excited to introduce these enhanced models to the market, embodying our 'Move Your World' philosophy by delivering vehicles that align with the aspirations and needs of our customers,” said UMWT Datuk Ravindran K in a statement to highlight the company's determination in maintaining its position as the number one non-national automotive brand in Malaysia.
