VOLKSWAGEN Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has repriced its Touareg R-Line to make it a lot more enticing.

The flagship premium sports utility vehicle (SUV) is now priced at RM382,690 excluding the Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP).

Previously the model went for at a recommended retail price of RM469,990 inclusive of VAP.

VAP - which comes with a comprehensive 5-year service maintenance, 5-year manufacturer warranty and 5-year roadside assistance - can still be gotten at an additional cost of RM17,300.

According to VPCM, the adjustment comes in response to positive developments in Volkswagen's local operations and a range of favourable market dynamics, allowing the savings to be passed on to customers.

Sporting an all-new exterior look the Touareg R-Line's exterior is defined by its IQ Light HD Matrix headlights - a highly intelligent lighting system of more than 38,000 interactive micro-LEDs.

It is powered by a 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 engine that produces 340 PS and 450 Nm of torque and comes with an intelligent 4Motion all-wheel drive (AWD) system. 

Other key features include automatic self-levelling air suspension, and a Dynaudio sound system with 730 watts of amplification. It also comes with the IQ.Drive suite and night vision viewing.
