VOLVO Car Malaysia has open bookings for next year's XC40 B5 Plus sports utility vehicle (SUV).

The 2025 refreshed model comes updated with pixel headlights with sensors, 19-inch alloy wheels, a new Cloud Blue exterior colour and a panoramic sunroof.

Volvo Car Malaysia marketing and public relations director Patricia Yaw said the XC40 B5 Plus is one of the company's more popular model, with the 2024-make stock cleared within the period of three months just this year.

The XC40 B5 Plus comes with a mild-hybrid system which pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with electric assistance.

Mated to an eight-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, the pairing produces 249 hp and 350 Nm of torque with the electric motor adding an extra 14 hp and 40 Nm - power is then distributed to all four wheels.

Its advanced smart safety features which includes run-off road protection, a whiplash protection system, front and rear collision warning and mitigation support, a blind spot information system with steer assist, lane keep assist, 360-degree parking view, cross-traffic alert with auto braking. among others.

Infotainment system is Android-powered and naturally comes with built-in Google services that offer seamless integration with a number of the platform's software such as Google Assistant and Google Maps.

The 2025 XC40 B5 Plus is priced from RM278,888 and, in addition to the new Cloud Blue, is also available with the existing shades of Onyx Black, Crystal White, Silver Dawn, and Sage Green. Price includes a 5-year complimentary for digital services.
