Xiaomi, the renowned gadget company, has launched their first-ever electric vehicle, the Xiaomi SU7. Packed with loads of tech, and it's selling at an extremely competitive price in China!

There are 3-variants available, the SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. The selling price in China shown underneath:

SU7: ¥ 215,900 (RM141,245.88)
SU7 Pro: ¥ 245,900 (RM160,872.45)
SU7 Max: ¥ 299,900 (RM196,200.28)

For your referrance, the selling price of the base Tesla Model 3 RWD in China is ¥ 245,900 (approximatly RM160,872.45), this is the price without any options. 

The SU7 is a four-door sedan, the overall design is done by Chris Bangle, former Chief Designer of BMW, and BAIC was given the responsibility of OEM production in China.

The exterior of the Xiaomi SU7 has a sporty, streamlined design with a drag coefficient of 0.195Cd only, the lowest among EVs. The taillights are using trendy lightbar, and a active spoiler, as well as optional 19 to 21-inch wheels. And the top-of-the-line Max version comes with Brembo four-piston brake calipers.

The interior is where the SU7 shines, featuring a rotatable 7.1-inch dashboard and 16.1-inch infotainment screen with 3K resolution, also comes with Hyper OS and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and AirPlay function. 

More so, it is also equipped with ambient lighting, Nappa sport seats, a panoramic glass sunroof, a 56-inch head-up display, a premium audio system with Dolby Atmos surround sound, an on-board smart refrigerator, rear privacy glass, and full windows with UV and infrared rays isolation function.

Additionally, Xiaomi being a famous gadget company, they also offers a series of playful and useful options for their customers, such as kareoke mic, a multifunction torchlight, rear tablet mounts, audio light bar and even a physical button bar for the infotainment screen! 

 

To add to that, the built-in Xiaomi voice assistant is also capable of syncing with Xiaomi's home intelligent furniture, creating a seamless vehicle and home intelligent ecosystem.

As for the powertrains, the SU7 has both RWD and AWD drivetrain, and according to Xiaomi, the flagship "HyperEngine V8s" electric motor has the highest and fastest RPM rate ever - 27,200 RPM, becomes a world record.

In terms of charging, the Xiaomi SU7 Max is on an 871V high-voltage platform, claiming a range of 510km in 15 minutes of charging, while the standard and Pro versions are on a 486V high-voltage platform, with a replenishment of 350km in 15 minutes of charging.

Xiaomi also done a lot of work to make the SU7 drives like a proper car, the chassis is forged by high-strength, high-resilience, heat-treated die-casting material, Xiaomi calls it the "Xiaomi Titans Metal". 

The suspension system is also top-notch, featuring front double wishbone and multi-link at the rear, with continuous damping control equipped (available in the SU7 Max model only). With these features, the SU7 has the potential to become the next track monster!

In terms of safety, the Xiaomi SU7 comes with its own XiaoMi Pilot system, which utilizes two Nvidia Drive Orin chips and has up to 16 different driver assistance functions.

Lastly, the Xiaomi SU7 shivers the EV market after its official debut, over 80k bookings was made within 24 hours. However, are you keen to see it in our local market?
