VISITORS to Suria KLCC and Xiaomi fans are in for a treat this weekend.

Until the Oct 20 (this Sunday) the SU7 is on display at the main concourse as part of the brand's 14T Series Roadshow.

Don't get your hopes up though as there is no indication that the SU7 will be officially sold in Malaysia anytime soon - the one on display is merely for demo and the SU7 is not offered outside of China at present.

In China, the SU7 comes in three variants: SU7, SU7 Pro and SU7 Max. All of them comes with a 3,000 mm wheelbase and measures at 4,997 mm in length, 1,963 mm wide, and 1,440 mm tall.

Rear boot space is rated at 517 litres and a front trunk (frunk) space of 105 litres. The electric vehicle (EV) features air suspension with adaptive dampers, an active shutter grille with 16 levels of adjustment and an active rear wing with four adjustment levels. Xiaomi Pilot with 16 functions comes as standard.

Both SU7 and SU7 Pro come equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers at 295 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Both the same top speed of 210 km/h though the standard SU7 is supposedly quicker in a 0-100 km/h sprint -  5.28 seconds compared to the SU7 Pro's 5.7 seconds.

The former uses a 73.6 kWh BYD FinDreams-sourced Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that delivers a range of 700 km (CLTC).

Built on an 800V architecture the SU7 can charge itself from 10-80% in 25 minutes with DC fast charging.

The SU7 Pro on the other hand uses a CATL nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery with an energy capacity of 94.3 kWh. It has the most range of the three variants at 830 km. Compared to the standard variant the Su7 Pro can charge up from 10-80% in 30mins with DC fast charging.

Unlike the other two, the premium SU7 Max has a dual-motor setup with an all-wheel drive (AWD) system to deliver a combined output of 664 hp and 838 Nm.

It has a more powerful rear electric motor that delivers 369 hp and 500 Nm, while the front provides 295 hp and 338 Nm. Though it has less range than the SU7 Pro at 800 km it has an incredible 0-100km/h performance in 2.78 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h.

Powering the electric motors is another CATL-NMC battery, although it has a higher energy capacity of 101 kWh.

In the cabin is a 16.1-inch centre touchscreen with 3K resolution, a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system that runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip and Xiaomi’s HyperOS. Apple CarPlay and AirPlay is supported.

Priced from 215,900-299,900 yuan (estimated at RM130,858-RM181,778 at the time of writing) the SU7 comes in nine exterior colours: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, Verdant Green, Meteor Blue, Radiant Purple, Basalt Gray, Lava Orange, Pearl White, or Diamond Black.

Interior comes in four options: Galaxy Gray, Twilight Red, Mist Purple or Obsidian Black.
