ZEEKR, accompanied by the debut of two of its pure electric vehicle (EV) models, is officially open for business in Malaysia.

Local franchise holder Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd believes Zeekr as a premium global brand represents a new dawn of modern luxury experiences for a new era. 

“When we say premium, we mean it, and that is precisely what the customer can expect when they purchase a Zeekr - whether it is the choice of materials used and equipment level to the overall build quality,” said Sentinel Automotive director Mohamed Reza. 

According to Reza interest and demand for both 009 and X models have been overwhelming mostly due to their superiority in performance, technology, comfort, quality, and design paired with best value for consumers' money. 

"Models like the Zeekr 009 for example, introduce new and high standards for luxury multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) superseding even those that are beyond its price segment, and this has garnered enormous levels of interest,” he added.

The Zeekr 009 is a luxury 6 to 7-seater model that is powered by a dual electric motor setup. It boasts a maximum power of 450 kW and torque of 693 Nm to achieve a 0-100km/h acceleration in 4.5 seconds. 

It is fitted with a 116 kWh battery that delivers a WLTP range of up to 582 km and can charge from 10-80% in 30 minutes.

Zeekr X on the other hand is an all-electric compact urban sports utility vehicle (SUV) that is available in two variants: Premium and Flagship All-Wheel Drive (AWD).

Fitted with a 66kWh battery for a WLTP range of up to 440 km, the Zeekr X supports 150 kW DC fast charging while also allows it to charge from 10-80% in 30 minutes.  

The Premium model has 200kW of power and can achieve a 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds, while the Flagship AWD model can achieve said century sprint in 3.8 seconds with a maximum power of 315 kW and torque of 543 Nm.

Prices of the models are as follows:

- 009 (7-seater): RM349,800
- 009 (6-seater): RM359,800
- X Premium: RM155,800
- X Flagship AWD: RM172,800

Both models are backed by a 5-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000km battery warranty. They also come with 2 years of complimentary connected services offering 6GB internet data to access the Zeekr app, onboard navigation, and over-the-air (OTA) software for its updates. 

The first 500 Zeekr X and Zeekr 009 owners will be entitled to an exclusive launch package that includes a home charger, portable charger, solar film and sunshade cover (Zeekr X only).

The first of Zeekr Malaysian showrooms are located at Petaling Jaya and Sunway City.

Zeekr Petaling Jaya is a 12,187 sq ft showroom that is now open and will strategically serve as a key center for network expansion and customer service. 

Another four showrooms will open in Selangor, Penang, and Johor in the first half of 2025. More Zeekr showrooms are also due to open in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Melaka, and Sarawak. 

First deliveries for both Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X will take place in mid-December.
